It is easy to encourage dialogue in the safety of a living room, but much more difficult in the presence of a gun. It is easy to say that good things happen through persuasion not coercion, but much more difficult when you are being coerced yourself. It is easy to say "yes" to education when everyone agrees that education is good, but much more difficult when people think you are undeserving of education. Malala, you give the world hope and we are honored to be on the same planet as you. As-salam alaykum (السلام عليكم).
