Can God stop global climate change?
No, it's irreversible even for God. The best that God can do
is to provide us with possibilities for creative transformation so
that we can create resilient communities that can deal with the effects.
In our time faith in God and faith in resilience are two sides of one coin.
Resilient communities are creative, compassionate, participatory,
culturally diverse, and ecologically wise, with no one left behind.
There are some things God can't do.
...To put it succinctly: Should we say God CAN’T do some things?
While some regions are likely to get wetter as the world warms, other regions that are already on the dry side are likely to get drier.
Sometimes God is Rain
Is God rain? Well, Yes. This doesn't mean that God is reducible to rain. But it means that God can be experienced in rain and as rain, especially when the rain is healing and nourishing. If you live in conditions of drought, God can splash onto your face and onto the ground. God can help make plants grow. Your children can jump into divine mud-puddles.
